If you have a loved one that you would like to get good care, steer clear of this place! They are clearly putting care a distant 2nd (if even that) from profit. My mother in-law spent 4 days there recently. On the last night she fell and was on the floor bleeding for who knows how long. Hillcrest called one of her daughters(my sister in-law, though they had the phone numbers ALL of the sisters including my wife.) She had to be taken to the hospital by an ambulance. While my sister in-laws were tending to their mother at the hospital, my wife went to Hillcrest to remove my mother in-law's clothes and possessions out of the facility. Not ONE staff member confronted her as she made 3 trips from the room to her car removing the articles. After 2 nights in the hospital she was transferred to Brookstone where we know she's getting well taken care of. Here it is 5 days later and NOT ONE CALL or follow up from Hillcrest!! NOT ONE call to apologize for the incident. NOT ONE call to ask how my mother in-law is feeling? NOT ONE call to explain how someone could drive up and remove the belongings from a room without question or notice. NOT ONE call to explain why on two occasions my mother had to wait 12 and another time 30 minutes for someone to come to take her to the bathroom! Another time she was handed the call button and told to buzz it when she needed assistance off the toilet. She buzzed it and when they didn't arrive after 15 minutes, she had to lift herself off while trying to steady herself with her walker. I guess when Priority 1 is profit (even changing guests $3 for a small dish of ice cream that Brookstone gives away for free), why should we be surprised when our loved one left Hillcrest in a worse condition than she arrived in.
